The Below Foamboard Planes are a good place to start if you have never built an RC plane before. These planes use smaller motors than most of the advanced planes and are easier to fly.

  • Domzki:

Hello to Paul and the rest of rc foamfighter folks,

Im Domenic from the Philippines and im building my second plane out of your AWESOME ff 117 plans. my first ff117 was a failed attempt cause i didnt really care about how important “CoG” and weight was, which not only made my plane didnt want to fly, it also crashed to a water spot in that bad flying field. and now that i have learned my lesson, i wish to seek help about balancing my plane. I need to know what would be the best way or tools that i can use to properly balance my ff117 plane. By the way my plane weighs heavy because i used black colored duct tape to make it water resistant incase of a second water crashing and to make the foam a little stronger. it weighs about 1.1 kg and the motor i used is only a turnigy 2826/6 2200kv and a 7×5 prop. Would you mind helping me out before i go out in the field again and do some successful maiden flight?

im hoping to Get some good advice from you all people. I have just started getting into this hobby and my hands are itching to fly my first successful plane. below are the parts i used to power my plane.

    Motor: turnigy 2826/6 2200kv
    Propeller: APC style 7×5
Battery: turnigy 3s lipo pack 30-40C
    ESC: turnigy delux 40amp ESC
Transmitter: HobbyKing T6a plus the coupled receiver

Sorry i could not provide any pictures for now since im at the office at the time i sent this email. Will send pictures later of my ff117 once i get it up in the air soon.

    Thank You All!

The turnigy 2826/6 2200kv motor and 7×5 prop is a good power combo , but the motor warms up quit a bit if you fly at full throttle for a bit, I recommend running this motor with 6×4 prop if you wanna stretch its life span.

Which plane good for beginners and easy to built on foam board , I have a 3000kv motor, 3s lipo, and a 30 amp esc

  • hi don’t know if this is the right form. I have just bought the ff aurora plans and it says to build from foam board . what thickness of foam board do you use and can you build it from depron thanks

  • New to this site. Found you today. I have been building PROFILE RC for the past two years. What I like about all of your planes is that everything is inside the fuz. Not hanging all over the outside.
Now to find the first one to build , during my WINTER BUILD TIME.
I have my own RC field here on the family farm, I am 79 years old Retired Army,
Retired Kansas Highway Patrol. Flew KHP aircraft for 10 years. 3800 hours.
Started flying RC way back in mid 1970’s. Hung everything up for some 30+ years. Saw this new E-planes. Hooked. Sold all the old nitro, not sure about
your SPEED . This old man likes them a little slower.
